The clients, a young professional couple, wanted a light and open feel for their new kitchen and the classic 1909 range, in a simple in-frame Shaker style with quarter-round beading, suited their tastes perfectly. They opted for a mix of parchment white and stone painted cabinetry, a subtle contrast that’s easy on the eye. The room has a beautiful simplicity and flows freely from the kitchen, to the living and dining areas with the lightly-toned furniture creating a sense of continuity through to the other spaces. Benefiting from plenty of natural light, the fresh and airy ambience is further enhanced with the crisp pale worktops. The feature mantle, above the oven, adds an interesting focus to the design, and being in the stone colour draws the eye without demanding too much attention. The finishing touches to the living space, such as the statement pendant light, soft furnishings, dining table and chairs inject show how attention to detail has been considered at every level.
