A beautifully proportioned space demands a beautifully tailored kitchen and this 1909 in-frame Shaker design proves this point perfectly. Painted in a blend of Farrow & Ball pavilion gray and moles breath, the cabinetry exudes a sophisticated air yet as an effortless ease about it that is very much at home in this open-plan living layout. Carefully zoned to offer a kitchen prep and social area, more formal dining space and relaxing snug, there’s a sense of flow which is enhanced by the stone flooring that is used throughout the room. The kitchen is part of a total house refurbishment which allowed the clients to create this wonderful open space. A generous amount of storage was key for the clients and the kitchen includes a large larder with internal drawers and shelving which provided lots of storage. Cornice is not a feature of the design, which together with the stainless steel of the Gaggenau appliances adds a contemporary twist to this timeless interior.
