The clients, a professional couple, purchased their bungalow as a renovation project and couldn’t wait to update the kitchen which was the one originally fitted when the property was built. They quickly realized that to maximise the potential of the space they should remove some of the walls, which gave the room a much fresher and more open perspective. Having gathered colour palette inspiration from Pinterest and various magazines, the clients had decided that grey was going to be the theme for the interior. Working with Lucy, the designer, the clients looked at a number of colour options and opted for a mix of partridge grey and charcoal in the in-frame Shaker style. Statement appliances are evident in the design, from the American fridge/freezer to the impressive range cooker. The island is surfaced in oak timber which is warmer to rest on and adds a lovely natural feel to the scheme. The clients love everything about their new kitchen and are so pleased they added the extra touch of luxury with the integrated wine cooler, that’s perfect for chilling a good bottle of wine.
