The clients wanted their kitchen, which formed part of a large open extension, to incorporate a blend of colours in a classic style but firmly designed for modern living. They opted for the 1909 half-pencil and scallop design, painted in a tasteful blend of partridge grey and charcoal, teamed with Silestone Lyra and Grigio Carnico Marble worktops, with an antique glass spashback. Key requirements of the design included plenty of worktop space and storage and the clients are delighted with the amount of practical surfacing available. The working island also creates a strong social element to the design. The living area has a sense of unity with the kitchen, the partridge grey furniture has been used to create the walled storage area, with open shelving and cabinetry. The room benefits from a beautiful vista across the garden and is very much the hub of this beautiful home.
